As a 5ft 6" male, I have experienced first hand how being shorter can hurt you in some aspects of life. I am 26 years old, with an athletic build and go to the gym 3-4 times a week and play ice hockey.
The fact that I play a sport dominated by big guys has seemed to put a complex inside of that has motivated me to find out if someone can really grow taller through height increase programs.
Let me just say that I am not selling any products, nor am I affiliated with any height increase companies. The reason I have developed this series of entries is to offer my first hand experience of my attempts to grow a few inches taller.
My target goal is to be 5ft 8" barefoot. Before I began a series of exercises and stretches, my height was 5ft 6 1/4" barefoot. So I am looking to gain 1 3/4" inches.
When I was 19 I bought a book from called "How to Increase Your Height Program", it was a guide that has a bunch of steps to help improve your posture and condition your body for a series of stretches with the intent to gain a few inches in height. I was able to find a web version of the book online that you can use as a reference. The links are posted below.
One thing I was negligent about was actually following the program and I never really gave it a true chance, but now being older, more patient and dedicated, I have decided to give another try with addition to some other resources I have found.
In addition to following the guide, I will be also adding other exercises into my routine to help aid in my height increase.
